When the founders of Vu Digital noticed that there was a huge void in the content delivery universe for aggregated news, sports, and entertainment, they chose to do something about it. “You could usually find something of interest on individual websites, but there wasn’t a place where you could go to customize exactly what you want to see. We wanted a user’s experience to be created dynamically through his behavior – how much time he spent reading an article or interacting, for example. We wanted a system that was so smart that it predicated with great accuracy what do show you based on a complex algorithm of variables, including the day, the weather, your previous activity, etc.” says one of the founders. That’s just what happened. A well-designed plugin, website, and mobile app delivered on the promise of personalized content. The invention of this technique led to a patent and the road was paved for content creators and developers universally to create similar applications.
